EMCOR Group, Inc. Subsidiary Completes Contract For Installation Of Electrical Systems For Microsoft Corporation

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, February 17, 2009 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, announced that its Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions subsidiary has completed work as the electrical systems installation contractor for Microsoft’s office renovation located in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

 

Gibson was responsible for the installation of electrical power and lighting for the 68,000 square foot Microsoft facility, which covers 2.5 floors and consists of 9 state-of-the-art conference rooms, multiple training centers and showrooms, including Microsoft’s envision center. The scope of work included installation of electrical and technical systems for distribution, lighting, lighting control and power. Gibson also installed raceways for A/V, tele/data and security systems. Gibson’s scope of work also included installation of a custom dimming system in a 2,500 square foot mini-theatre theatre to control the theatrical fixtures, neon color integrated LED's, and cold cathode lighting that illuminates Microsoft's multiple vignette's.
