EMCOR GROUP, INC. Names Dan Fitzgibbons President and CEO of Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions

Oak Brook, IL – June 6, 2006 – Daniel Fizgibbons has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Gibson Electric & Technology Solutions, one of Chicagoland's largest electrical contractors.

 

Providing services for new construction, retrofit and renovation projects across virtually all market sectors - - and for facilities such as airports, hospitals, hotels, stadiums, plus data centers, and trading floors - - the company is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses globally.

 

In his new position, Mr. Fitzgibbons is responsible for guiding the Company's continued growth, including the highly successful new Pre-Construction Division, a division that performs all major project estimating and budgeting for various general contractors and construction managers. Dan will also continue the Company's focus on emerging technology, insuring Gibson's cutting edge expertise in Technology Solutions.

Mr. Fitzgibbons joined Gibson as a Senior Vice President in 1998, responsible for managing the Company's estimating, customer relations, and training activities, as well as providing oversight for Sales Engineers and project managers.

 

Previously, he was with Ameritch Information Systems and Communication Contractors and Communications and Data Services, Inc., a telecommunications service provider that he founded in 1992 and was acquired by EMCOR in 1998.

 

Dan is very active in a variety of industry associations, including Chicagoland functions and activities. He is currently Chairman for the Communication Committee of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) of the City of Chicago, and also the Chairman for the Communication Technology Forum (CTF) of the Electrical Association of Chicago. He is the past Chairman for Chicagoland's St. Joseph Grammar School Oktoberfest, in Lockport, Illinois.
