Scott ensures delivery of the responsive, high-quality technology solutions clients need for uninterrupted operation and maximum efficiency. As leader of the company’s technology division, he guides new business development activities, prepares and reviews estimates, manages the division’s warehouse and oversees his field superintendent’s manpower planning and management activities. In addition to maintaining the company’s high quality standards, he tracks development of the division’s expertise, making sure that technicians participate in the latest factory-authorized training programs and that his project managers stay up to date on today’s leading-edge system design techniques and procedures. The result is the technology expertise and services clients need for optimum competitiveness and maximum return on their electrical systems investment.

 

Expertise
Scott has been working in the electrical industry since 1983. He began as an installer with CCI-Illinois Bell Communications, which eventually promoted him to installation supervisor. In 1988, he joined Illinois Communications Contractors, first as an estimator and later, as a project manager. Four years later, he moved to Communications and Data Services, Inc. as director of engineering and technical services. He joined Gibson in 1998, when it acquired Communications and Data Services.


In addition to attending Moraine Valley Community College, Scott has completed IBEW Local #134’s communications apprenticeship program. A BICSI-certified registered communications distribution designer (RCDD), he also holds certifications from Systimax, Siemon, Hubbell, Nortel, Mohawk, Berktek, Corning, AMP and others. In addition, he is certified to install telecommunications systems from Northern Telecom, NEC and Avaya.

A City of Chicago supervising electrician, he is a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association’s voice/data/video board.

 

The Personal Side
Scott is married and has three children, two girls and one boy. In addition to his family, Scott enjoys playing basketball and taking the stage as bass guitarist in a rock ‘n roll band.
