Bob Springborn Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President, Administration

By ensuring consistently sound financial management, Bob leads a finance team that enables the firm to deliver the expert service and high-performance projects clients need to succeed in today's complex construction environment. Responsible for all accounting functions and general financial activities, he also oversees the administrative support group, information technology organization, and warehouse personnel and procedures. In addition, he helps design and execute purchasing strategies that govern vendor selection, pricing and service delivery, as well as those aimed at securing optimum prices for volatile commodity items.

 

Expertise
Bob's financial career began in 1979, when he joined Hartmarx Corporation, an apparel manufacturer and marketer. Starting as an auditor, Bob worked his way up through positions of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming chief financial officer (CFO) of a Hartmarx division. He became Gibson's CFO In 2001.

 

Bob holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

 

Bob is a certified public accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society.

 

The Personal Side
Bob is married and has two children. He enjoys playing golf, cooking and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
